couple hundred acres of this type of system in a 2,000-acre orchard that is
mostly flood-irrigated. Previously, these blocks were the best yielding in
the orchard, but in recent years they are dropping off in comparison to
flood-irrigated blocks. Note tree thinning going on. How will the
irrigation method do as blocks are thinned is an important question.
